Our History

Ojibwe Horse Bimaadizi (“he/she lives”) is an Indigenous-woman led not-for-profit organization that aims to protect and preserve the critically endangered Ojibwe Horse.

Established in 2022, our team is committed to Ojibwe Horse preservation through rescue, rehabilitation, selective breeding and educational & cultural programming.

Our Mission

To prevent the extinction of the critically endangered Ojibwe Horses that once roamed free and are Indigenous to Northwestern Ontario.

We aim to support the growth of the Ojibwe Horse population and maintain the health of the existing horses as well.

“Meet the ojibwe ponies!”

Event hosted by Grace Equestrian Centre and OHB.
